Aviation 200 Aer Lingus B737-548 EI-CDB (cn 24919/1970)
This air frame was built in 1990. It's first flight was Dec. 7, 1990. It came to Aer Lingus and was registered EI-BXF Dec. 12, 1990 and later registered EI-CDB May 27, 1991. The aircraft moved on to Baltic Air Dec. 17, 2004 and later to Deta Air and currently with Aerosvit Airlines as of Jan 1, 2012 The aircraft was named St. Albert while with Aer Lingus. The version of the model is in the standard Green shamrock livery but it also flew in special colors featuring aerlingus.com. The mould used to produce this model is quite nice in its nose shape, tail shape and engine shape. The engine color on the model is gray but most of the images on A-net show white paint on the engines. Positioning of the AerLingus on the fuselage, the "St Albert marking forward of the main passenger door, and the registration number are all positioned correctly and look to be the right font and right font siz.e The passenger doors and windows are very sharply printed. Cargo bay doors show up well on the lower fuselage. Warning and landing lights add to the detail of this model. For EI collectors in 200 scale this is a great addition with now more than 20 models made in this scale. Review by James F (Posted on 11/17/2012)
