JCWings 400 AeroMexico DC-10-30 N8228P (cn 46937/152) (Polish Silver /Orange)
With its polished metal finish and brilliant orange colors painted on the aircraft this is a beautiful addition to my AeroMexico collections. I collect mainly models before the change to the blue colors. The aircraft flew in the orange colors and was around long enough to get the blue paint eventually The aircraft first flew April 8, 1974 for MD and was delivered to AeroMexico May 16, 1974. The aircraft flew through 2005 in a series of other liveries.

In examining images on Airliners.net I think the paint may have been a little oranger than the replica. However, the colors have been applied sharply on the polished fuselage. The nose of the aircraft in its images seems to be a bit longer and more pointed than the model Cockpit shape and windows
is larger looking than on the aircraft.

The engines on the aircraft are longer and thinner than on the model. Landing gear look good and the nose gear cover features the flight number 28P.

Overall the model is a reasonable reproduction of the original aircraft and brings to five the number of 400 scale models we have of AeroMexico DC-10-30.
