XA-DOE was the first DC-8 ever built by the Douglas Aircraft Company. It first took off on May 30th 1958 with FAA registration N8008D. Crowds of as 50,000 gather that day in Long Beach California for the test flight. This frame was flown by different airlines until it was leased to AeroMexico. XA-DOE was Christened "Quintana Roo" after the Mayan state in the Yucatan Peninsula.
