Compared to the Jet-X 200 MD-80 mould, I think Gemini overall is better. The nose shape is much more correct which then allows th cockpit windows to sit more properly. The model displays antennas in correct position on the fuselage. There are warning lights on the wing tips and on the fuselage. The passenger doors have markings that give further detail to the model. The GJ engine shape appears more accurate than the Jet-X version. The airframe was delivered May 20, 1994 This plane was retired from Alaska's fleet on Aug. 24, 2008 That was the time most MD-80s in the fleet retired. (Posted on 3/30/2011)
