I love the old props and Allegheny Airlines was one of the early regional airlines feeding developing hubs in the 50s and 60s. It is exciting to think about the coming possibilities of the Convair model. We already have multiple versions with different engines. I found two images on Airliners.net that are so helpful in comparing the real airframe with the model you would think they were posing. Delivered new to National as CV340-74, N8416H, 11/53 and later was converted to CV440. The airframe was sold to Allegheny 2/60 and converted to CV580 10/66, flying with them until 9/78. Later registration include was C-FTWN. (Posted on 3/16/2011)
