This little commuter plane adds much to our growing collection of America West models in 400 scale. Just a few weeks ago this same registration number and colors were done in 200 scale. There is so much detail for this model from the fleet number being printed on the nose gear covers to the engine shape, sharply printed doors and passenger windows and a near perfect reproduction of the cockpit area and its windows. Emergency egress arrows are on the wings, the landing gear is scaled and has tired and hub cap details that further enhance the replica. The aircraft was built in 1994 and made its first flight Nov. 11, 1994. The aircraft got the registration N528YV on April 20, 1995. It retired from AW Expess July 7, 1997. It had several registrations after that and then retired from air use Sept. 20, 2002. (Posted on 8/6/2011)
