Customer Reviews
American Airlines L-188 Electra N6118A
In the 1960s N6118A flew for American Airlines. It was one of several Electras to go to work for McCulloch International Airlines and then onto PSA in their Orange "smile" livery. The Electra was developed in the mid-1950s and first flew in 1957. American ordered 35 L-188s June 8, 1955. There is a picture on A-net showing this aircraft as "freshly painted" in the new lightning bolt livery in 1967. The replica features spinning props and rolling tires. Aeroclassics issued 11 American Airlines replicas in August, 2010 and on a run of only 24 models so this bird and the other 10 are instantly rare. Review by James F (Posted on 9/4/2010)
