Western Models 200 Braniff Airlines Boeing B720-027 Jelly Bean Colors Medium Blue N7080 (cn 18581/347)
This is one of six Braniff Jelly Bean B720s issued by Western Models. For me all six of them are a must have. I have the previous 707s, 727-100s, 727-200s, L-188, the BACs. I guess this is one of my favorite airlines right behind TWA.

Six 200 scale 720s take up a lot of space in the crowd of Braniffs which must be close to 100 models in 200 scale starting with the props. A stand can help.

The Medium Blue version is a good color for placing the airline name in black on fuselage. On top for fuselage is a bluish antenna aft of the cockpit. Passenger windows are in a grayish color. Would have preferred black this is no detriment to the model.

The nose on the WM B720, cockpit windows and cockpit shape is spot on. The wings come together with the fuselage almost seamlessly. The tail and the horizontal stabilizers merge almost seamlessly to the fuselage.

The cargo bay doors and passenger passenger doors are properly positioned. The cargo bay doors are in silver., the passenger doors in black. On the undercarriage of the model there is one antenna. The landing gear is scaled and the rubber tires roll.

This air frame also flew in Beige livery, Orange livery, Medium Blue livery, Orange/Ochre colors.

The aircraft first flew for Boeing Aug. 8, 1963 and was delivered to BI August 22 , 1963. After Oct., 1973 it went to several other airlines. It was eventually broken upJan., 1982. There were 154 B720 air frames.
