Nice to have these Flying Colors as part of the Braniff family of replicas in 400 scale. There is only one picture of this aircraft in these colors on Airliners.net: http://www.airliners.net/photo/Braniff-International-Airways/Douglas-DC-8-51/0200215/L/&sid=123296879e424ad57386161485d4a3b7 Comparing it with the model, the mould is very acceptable. My only complaint is that were the wings meet the fuselage there is a visible gap. The engines are properly shaped on the model. Cockpit shape, cockpit windows, passenger doors, passenger windows all line up properly. The colors match well although the photo image is now real sharp. Cargo bay doors add to the model's detail. The aircraft was built in 1962 and was delivered to BN June, 1973 in these colors. Originally this air frame was delivered to National Airlines Sept. 1962. After BN folded the aircraft was broken up.
