Inflight 200 Braniff International Airways McDonnell Douglas DC-8-62 (cn 46105/494) “N1808E,” (Red)
The red jelly bean is my favorite color for all these Braniff International DC-8-62s. This airliner was built by Douglas in 1969, the year of Woodstock and Hurricane Camile. The aircraft was delivered to BI Oct. 23, 1969 in the rred jelly bean colors. Later it was painted in the Ultra colors of the 1970s. It was damaged in Singapore Feb. 28. 2002 while operating for Fine Air it fell into a drainage ditch.

The mould is quite nice. The only minor gripe I have is how the wing and fuselage seam could have been a little tighter. The colors are so beautiful. Seeing the black BI and American flag on the white painted tail looks great.

The cockpit shape and windows look correct. There are multiple antennas and warning lights on the model adding additional detail. The passenger windows and doors show up well on the red back drop. Cargo bay doors are also painted on the model.
