This aircraft was built in 1958 and first flew July 12, 1958 and was delivered to Continental Airlines August, 1958. It was sold to Channel Airlines in 1966 and kept some of the Continental colors for Channel. The aircraft was broken up in June, 1962. The model shape looks good and the colors are nicely matched with a couple of pictures that I found at JetPhotos. These colors are the predecessor colors of the "golden get" colors that came in as the fleets were replaced by jets. The model features four spinning props, rolling landing gear, fleet number on the nose gear. The round windows are clearly printed on the model as are the passenger doors. The model has two antenna on the top of the fuselage. The wings and the the lower part of the fuselage are polished metal and quite shinny, requiring gloves to not leave finger prints.
