Gemini Jets 200 Delta B737-700 Reg# N305DQ Plastic series
Although I am no big fan of plastic models I am impressed with the new GJ 200 plastic model series. This model is the first one in the series and was also issued by GJ in metal. The metal model is no longer in stock. I kinda cringed when I saw the model in its packaging...but as I snapped together the few parts there were with this model and set it on the table I must say it has some very nice details on it. First of all the landing gears are scaled, the nose cover has the fleet on it and the tires roll. The model features a couple of antenna on the top and bottom of the fuselage. These appear in scale when examining photo images of the aircraft. The colors are spot on and the tail logo is printed clearly and in the right color. The passenger windows and doors are correctly positioned and have marking on them that add further detail to the doors. The cockpit is shaped correctly as is the nose. The winglets are proportional and correct. The engines look good too with markings on them that you can not read with the naked eye but make them look quite real.

The aircraft first flew Nov. 15, 2008 and was delivered to Delta Jan. 2, 2009 and was registered earlier by Delta Dec. 30, 2008

The plastic model is roughly half the cost of the metal one.
