Hobby Master 200 scale Douglas C-54 Skymaster "City of Las Vegas" 0-272674
Back in the 1950s this was the support aircraft for the Thunderbirds. It was painted in the red white and blue colors of the era of the F84, F89 and F100s used by the team in those years. The model is Hobby Master's DC-4 mould which has already given us many fine examples from the 40s, 50s and early 60s. Marked in USAF colors of the 50s, this model features a large rear door for passengers and cargo. Spinning props are painted with red, white and blue ends. The model has an antenna above the cockpit. It comes with a stand and can be configured gear up or down. This aircraft was used by the Thunderbirds from 1959-62. Review by James F (Posted on 12/11/2010)
