Cargo fleet collectors will be glad to see this B777F in FedEx colors. First of all it is amazing when you take this model out of the box. It feels heavy and looks so big you wonder if it is 400 scale.
The aircraft first flew Sept. 26, 2011. It was delivered to FedEx Oct. 29, 2011 and has been flying all over the world delivering packages and cargo since then.
Right under the cock pit windows in very fine print you can read the aircraft name "Mairead". The shape of the cock pit, cock pit windows and nose is a perfect match for the B777. The model has multiple antennas on the top and bottom of the fuselage. GJ has been great in adding this type of details to their models.
The landing gear is scaled and has rolling rubber tires. The main gear are articulated. The nose gear cover has the fleet number on it Cargo bay doors are marked clearly and the large door on the port size stands out clearly on the white back drop. The FedEx colors on the tail, the engines and on the fuselage are a perfect match.
In 400 scale there are more than 40 models in the FedEx and prior colors. For fleet collectors this is another great addition. (Posted on 11/28/2015)
