Western Models Eastern Air Lines Boeing 720-025 “White Hockeystick” N8715E
Of all the liveries of Eastern Airlines I liked the “White Hockeystick” the most. That white back drop on the fuselage and then the shades of blue just looks perfect.

It is amazing to think that last year no one was doing a B720 in 200 scale and now we have Western Models, Seattle Model Company and Inflight pumping out the models like there will be no tomorrow.

This aircraft was built in 1961. It first flew Dec., 16, 1961 and delivered to Eastern Airlines on the same date. It later flew for several other airlines before being broken up some time in 1980.

Western/SMP mould is spot on. The nose shape, cockpit and cockpit windows are right on with the aircraft. The cockpit windows and passenger windows are in a dark gray color. The Eastern blue colors are also perfectly reproduced.

The engines are attacked to the wings in an almost completely seamless fashion. The wings attach to the fuselage with a small seam visible.

The model has warning lights on the wings and the top and bottom of the fuselage. There are several antennas.

All and all a nice rendition of this aircraft and a great addition to the “White Hockeystick” livery.
