Gemini Jets 400 Gemini Jets Alaska Boeing 737-890 (S) Scimitar Reg# N586AS (cn 35189/2393)
This is the first 400 scale model to feature the new Scimitar wing tips. It looks like a piece of sculpture. This particular air frame is unique in that is the the Alaska Airlines Eskimo with a lei, part of their Hawaii promotion.

The aircraft first flew Sept. 15, 2007 and was delivered to Alaska Oct. 4, 2007, then registered with AS October 5, 2007. It was delivered with winglets followed by the installation of the Scimitar Sept., 2014

I have been in this hobby a dozen years. This model is an example of progress in the model making industry. The model has a white fuselage as a back drop to its markings. The Eskimo on the tail is a perfect reproduction as is the lei on the tail and back fuselage.

There are scaled antenna on the top and bottom of the fuselage. Years ago, one would have never dreamed of such a thing on a 400 scale model. Warning lights are marked on the top and bottom of the fuselage and at the ends of the wings next to the Scimitar.

The GJ mould for the 737-800 a very good replica in many regards. The nose is properly shaped, the cockpit windows are correct. The passenger doors and windows are correct and stand out greatly on the white fuselage.

On the wings there are emergency egress arrows. Clearly the landing lights stand out were the wing meets to fuselage. The engines are correctly shaped,

All the colors on this model match up with the original aircraft.

In 400 scale my collection includes ever AS aircraft created by the model makers. This a great addition for the collection.
