Wow what a beautiful model. The wings are so shinny and the Pan American Grace colors are perfect for this polished metal beauty.
Herpa's DC-6 mould is near perfect.
The model's nose is shaped correctly, cockpit windows are spot on. There is an antenna aft of the cockpit. Passenger windows are crisply printed on the fuselage with the yellow cheat line as the back drop for them.
The engine shape and details on the engine are a real contribution to the beauty of this model. The props spin. Landing gear is scaled correctly and has rolling tires.
I love the box art. It reproduces an ad 25 hours and 40 minutes NYC to Buenos Aires. You can only image the luxury of it all flying back in the 50s. Imagine eating three meals on the airplane. It was an elegant time in aviation. (Posted on 11/24/2016)
