72-7000 20630 was delivered to the USAF on August 9th 1972 as N8459. On November 15th 1972 she was re-serialled as 72-27000 where she became the sister ship for 62-6000 as part of the Air Force One cavalcade of the 89MAW at Andrews Air Force Base. She was then retired from service in August 2001 and preserved at Simi Valley California.

This was Ronald Reagan's primary transportation before the B747-100 was added to the Air Force One fleet. The aircraft first flew July 31, 1972 and delivered to the US Air Force August, 9, 1972. It should be kept in mind that any aircraft the President is on is designated AF1. Often this aircraft in would flew backup for the other VC-137C 72-6000 which flew Kennedy to Dallas in 1963 and flew his body back to Washington after the assignation. Inflight has done very well with their 707 mould and this reproduction is especially beautiful with its polished belly. When IF first started they put out both 26000 and 27000 but it did not have the polished body and engines. Our replica has a good color match, well shaped nose and cockpit area, cargo bay doors and the Presidential seal. (Posted on 12/7/2011)
