This aircraft flew for Japan Air Lines from Dec., 1952 through April, 1964. It had flown for National Airlines (April, 1946-Dec., 1952) N38683 prior to service with JAL. After retiring from JAL the aircraft flew for Trans Austrian Airlines and Air Siam. It was broken up some time after 1973. T. The aircraft was originally a C-54 with duel passenger and cargo door at the rear of the aircraft. The model colors are matched perfectly and the AC DC-4 mould is spot on. Tires are scaled right down to the hub caps. The nose gear features the fleet number printed on it. Spinning props and color warning lights further enhance this replica. (Posted on 8/15/2011)
