This air frame has a colorful history delivered to Mohawk Airlines Dec. 31, 1968, then into Allegheny Airlines and then over to US Air when they bought out Allegheny, finally retiring in 1989. There are a number of pictures of this plane on A-net but none of them show the forward antenna just behind the cockpit. If you look at this image: http://www.airliners.net/photo/USAir/BAC-111-204AF-One-Eleven/0001074/L/&sid=5762be80d95a913ea234754038921b8b it appears to me that the nose on the model is a little funky. It should be a little longer and more pointed. The landing gear on the model is pretty good. I like the detail that JC Wings placed on the nose gear. The fleet number is displayed below the cockpit and adds some nice detail to the model. The passenger and cockpit winds are crisp and well shaped. You can see windshield wipers on the model. Over the wings emergency egress arrows are displayed. The engines are shaped properly and the colors on the model line up well with the original. (Posted on 8/4/2011)
