Customer Reviews
Inflight 200 Aer Lingus L1011-385-1-14 Tristar 100 G-BBAF (cn 193N-1093)
Inflight has picked an interesting airframe with much history and multiple airlines trading the aircraft among each other. Captured in this rendition is a Tristar in the Aer Lingus colors. This airframe started out with British Airways in the late 1970s. It flew for Caledonian Airlines. It was leased to Aer Lingus in the summer of 1997 from .Caledonian Airlines. The aircraft went back and forth a couple of times. On Airliners.net there a many pictures of this airplane and many of them show hybrid Caledonian-Aer Lingus colors to add the the history of this plane. Inflight has matched the colors well. Recent AV400 models had some problem with the green match. This model has many fine details I like such as antennas, warning lights, scaled landing gear, including the fin number on the nose gear. The model carries the name St. Killian. The windows are shape. The nose and cockpit area compare well with that of the images on A-net. You can see the RR logo on the engines. There were no cracks on this model as that was a problem with earlier L-1011s. The IF Caledonian version is still available at this writing. Review by James F (Posted on 4/5/2011)
