Aeroclassics National Douglas DC-7 N8205H
What a gorgeous DC-7 this is. National Airlines was the first and only owner of this air frame which was made in 1953. It was delivered to NAL November, 1953 and then withdrawn from service in April, 1964.

The Aeroclassics DC-7 is spot on in so many ways. The only negative thing I could say about this mould is the way the tail fits to the fuselage. There is a visible space were it interfaces.

The colors and markings are clearly printed and catch the essence of the real plane. The passenger windows and doors are marked clearly. The landing gear is properly scaled. The nose gear cover has the fleet number on it. The passenger doors are clearly marked.as are the cargo bay doors. Engines are properly shaped. Warning lights are properly place on the ends of the wings. and the tail. Cockpit and cockpit windows are correct.

I am glad that AC has chosen to do NAL DC-7. I would not mind seeing some more for fleet building like they did with United Airline liveries.

Old National
Man I wish AC came in 200 scale because this is just a beauty but the scale is too small for me. AC is always putting out the greatest 50's paint jobs such as The Golden Falcon Eastern. I'd mortgage the house for one of those. HM sometimes comes up w/something cool but they are few and far between. Western has a new mould DC8-33 that I have high hopes of seeing some "dawn of the jet age" liveries. Review by Ernesto (Posted on 4/12/2015)
