It is a beauty and with 65 examples manufactured this is an opportunity for collectors and model makers.
The mould is near perfect.
Among other details the fuselage has warning lights on top and bottom of the model. The wings have warning lights at the end of the wings and the landing lights are also very visible.
The aircraft was delivered to Delta Feb. 10, 1960 and flew with them til it was sold to Boeing in 1973. It was later registered with Groth Air Service. The aircraft burned May, 1983
This aircraft features the Widget livery and its colors are perfectly delivered in this reproduction.
Nose shape, cockpit shape and cockpit windows are spot on. The passenger doors and windows are clearly marked. The model has scaled landing gear with rolling rubber tiers. The nose gear cover has the fleet number on it as does the tail.
I love having this piece of Delta history in my 200 scale collection which has more than 75 models so far. (Posted on 6/26/2015)
