We now have three B727-200s in the Yellowbird colors. N1648 there are a few minor differences in the three. This model N1648 has unpainted engines while the other two models have them painted yellow. The GJ version has the yellow paint on the engines. On this model, to the left of the name of the airline there is a tiny NE logo but the other Aeroclassics version doesn't have that detail and the engines are painted yellow. This model has great markings with landing and warning lights visible on the model. The cargo bays are well marked as are the windows and cockpit markings. After its time with NE this aircraft also flew for Piedmont Airlines. The pictures show how badly blackened the engine and tail section get from those roaring smoky engines. (Posted on 11/8/2010)
