These colors are the ones that were just before the white top version of Northwest. This aircraft has a very long history, first coming to in 1979, on to Republic July, 1979then to Northwest in 1986 before merging with Delta in 2009 where the plane flies to day in the most recent Delta colors. Not too much negative to say about this model. The nose could be just a bit more pointy but all and all, the gear looks good, the cockpit shape and windows are find, the forward passenger door has door handles visible. There are several antenna that further add detail to the model. The engines are shaped correctly and the colors of this model are correct. It won't be long thought, till Delta gets rid of their DC-9 and replaces them with more modern aircraft with better fuel economy. (Posted on 7/25/2011)
