Aeroclassics 400 Northwest Orient Boeing 720-051B Polished N725US
With all the excitement of B720s in 200 scale this is a nice classic from Aeroclassics. This polished metal beauty comes at a time when you wonder if the model makers will pay much attention to the old airliners with all the mergers going on.

This aircraft first flew for Boeing Aug. 23, 1961 and was to Northwest Orient on Aug. 31, 1961. It later worked for Olympic Airlines and Omega Airlines before being broken up July, 1985.

AC has captured the overall colors of this aircraft in the replica. The solid red tail with no markings was the habit of Northwest Orient back when this aircraft first flew. The rest of the model was polished metal except for the white from nose to tail for the passenger windows and passenger doors which stand out beautifully on this back drop.

This mould is quite nice in that there are no visible seams. The nose is perfectly shaped as is the cockpit and cockpit windows. The engines are shaped perfectly and the model has scaled rolling tires on the landing gear. Cargo bay doors are clearly parked on the starboard side of the model.

It is great to add this 400 scale unit the massive number of Northwest models we have in 400 scale.
