Aeroclassic Pacific Western B707-1308B OC old white tail CF-PWV (cn 17696/29)
I am glad that Aeroclassic has made this model. For one thing, Pacific Western is an important player in Canadian airline history. Eventually PWA merged into Canadian International. This aircraft first fly March 20, 1959 for Boeing. It was delivered to Qantas July 16, 1959. It was delivered to PWA Nov. 1969 and flew for them through the 70s and later flew for several other airlines. During its stay with PWA it eventually ended up in the blue tail livery of PW. There are only five images of it (in both white and blue tail versions on Airliners.net: http://www.airliners.net/search/photo.search?cx=partner-pub-8297169501225184%3Aa05n2n-tzky&ie=ISO-8859-1&q=CF-PWV&sa=Submit&search_active=1&search=&sheadline=&search_field=datedesc&submit=&siteurl=www.airliners.net%252F. The mould is great. The passenger windows and passenger doors are crisply printed on the white background of this livery. The landing gear is properly scaled. I especially like the detail on the nose gear. On the wings the emergency egress arrows add further detail to the model. The engines look good too. The seams are not an issue with this model. Landing light on the wings add another great detail to this model. This model is a great addition to the other AC PWA's we have. I have all of them except the B732s issued earlier.
