Gemini Jets200 Piedmont Boeing B767-201 ER “Pride of Piedmont” N603P (cn 23897/173) fleet number 603
This is very well done model. N603P "Pride of Piedmont". First flight was May 3, 1987. Delivery date was May 21, 1987. Other serials - N645US with US Air and US Airways, and also N245AY with US Airways. If you could look at this image on A-net: http://www.airliners.net/photo/Piedmont-Airlines/Boeing-767-201-ER/0993355/L/&sid=fba61ee76ae404204ca6aff8cc75aeef it appears that the nose is much more pointed in real life. The nose shape also affects how well the cockpit windows are shaped. The model has well placed markings for the tail Piedmont and the 767-ER designation which lines up perfectly with the image of the actual aircraft. The PIEDMONT on the fuselage is correctly place and is the correct font. The antenna on the underside of the aircraft have warning colors painted on them. The landing gear is well done with lug nuts visible on the gear tires. The engine shape seems a little shorter version of the actual engine depicted on the images at A-net. There are emergency egress arrows on the wings. Markings for the passenger doors, windows and cargo bay doors add further detail to this model. The wood stand comes with this model and helps conserve space on display shelves allowing for display of several other 200 scale Piedmonts. Review by James F (Posted on 7/18/2012)
