I love to see this old Piedmont airlines on this little model. It is tiny, maybe an inch and a little bit more. The doors are vividly visible along with the passenger windows. Cargo bay door is marked and adds more detail to the model. Landing lights are another added detail to make this a wonderful model to add to a collection of Piedmont models in this scale. There is only one picture on Airliners.net of this aircraft in these colors. The blue looks slightly darker than on the model but it could be the lighting and image reproduction rather than a difference in color. Later this plane was used by U. S Airways in their dark blue livery. (Posted on 2/28/2011)
