This is without a doubt a beautiful way to paint an airliner. Pan Am's finally colors featured the "billboard" livery were in big letters the Pan Am appears on a white back drop with their very unique blue color lettering. The Pan Am meatball is on the tail. The passenger windows and cockpit windows really stand out with the white back drop. The aircraft came from National Airlines. Several other B722s came from National to join Pan Am in what shortly would be its final days too. The GJ people also did this model in the National sun king colors. I like to see this kind of tracking so you can follow a particular airliner through its history. N4734 first flew Jan. 9, 1968 and was registered to National Jan 23, 1968 and brought into Pan Am with the merger Jan., 1980 were it flew until Pan Am expired Dec., 1991. This mould for 722s is pretty good. The cockpit shape and its windows are right on. The nose shape is correct and the black radome looks really neat on the white color of the body of the model. There are several antennas and warning lights. The wings have the emergency egress arrows. The three engines are shaped and painted correctly. The flag is in the correct position as well as the meatball and the registration number. There is much detail on the passenger doors. The cargo bay doors are marked. The landing gear is scaled correctly and rolling tires. The nose gear cover has the fleet number printed on it. (Posted on 10/14/2012)
