- Gemini Jets 400 American Airbus A321-211 N187US
-
The aircraft first flow as D-AVZE on March 11, 2002 and was delivered to U.S. Airways as N187US March 237, 2002. It took on American Airlines colors Oct. 17, 2015when AA and US Airways merged.
The cfm56-5B3/P engines are perfectly reproduced and hung on the wings seamlessly and with
markings on the engines that are unreadable in 400 scale but none the less add details that make them look great.
The landing gear is scaled properly. The nose gear door features the fleet number. The wheels look great with rubber rolling tires.
Antennas are on the top of the fuselage and are scaled perfectly.
The AA colors are perfectly reproduced in color and placement.
Cockpit winds and passenger windows are in dark gray and are printed clearly. There
are no windshield wipers visible on the model but that could have added an additional detail has GJ printed them on the model.
Passenger doors are marked as are cargo bay doors.
On the wings flaps are printed clearly on the main wings and horizontal stabilizers.
GJ has been out in front providing collectors with all the new airliners represented
in the American colors after the merger. This model is a wonderful addition to the
collection of AA models.
