Jet-X 400 Aeromexico MD-82 (DC-9-82) (Chrome) XA-AMO (cn 49188/1172) "Ciudad Victoria"
It is nice to see Jex-X making use of their MD-80 mould. The recent American Airlines entries and now Aeromexico and hopefully many more liveries to come will find their way into collections. I have most of th early Aeromexico models and am glad to add these two into the collection of props and early jet ops. This is a chrome version but I have a hard time telling it from the polished. For me it is important that we have two separate registrations. There are only two images on Airliners.net but it looks like Jet-s has done well in capturing the shape of the nose and the cockpit windows. Placement of the passenger windows is perfect and the printing is sharp. The wings feature warning lights and landing lights as well as markings for emergency egress from the aircraft in case of emergency. Engine shape is well done. There are no seam issues. All and all a highly well done replica of XA-AMO. This aircraft also was painted in the later blue and silver livery. Review by James F (Posted on 2/2/2011)
