Gemini 200 North Central Convair CV-580 N2041
N2041 / 541 (cn 334) Built as a CV440-47 for National, sold to North Central, and converted to CV580 on 5/68. Later converted to VIP configuration and registered N580N. Converted to a freighter, registered C-GTAP, and joined Time Air in 1990. Later joined Canair Cargo, and ultimately joined Nolinor in 1996, where it continues to fly today. Be sure to look at the product description here for many more historical details about this aircraft. There are only two pictures of this plane in North Central colors: http://www.airliners.net/search/photo.search?cx=partner-pub-8297169501225184%3Aa05n2n-tzky&ie=ISO-8859-1&q=n2041&sa=Submit&search_active=1&search=&sheadline=&search_field=datedesc&submit=&siteurl=www.airliners.net%2Fsearch%2Fphoto.search%3Fcnsearch%3D145527%26distinct_entry%3Dtrue Gemini has captured shape of this aircraft in their mould from one end to the other. The nose shape is particularly well done. Windshield wipers are visible. There are two antenna after of the cockpit. The cockpit windows are near perfect in shape and alignment. The passenger doors were simple back then and the model shows the door handles. Passenger windows and markings are perfect. Warning lights are visible on the wing tipes and on the top of the fuselage. This model also features one of GJ's improved stands and the plastic the stand did not break while inserting the legs as we have seen with some of their earlier stands.
