Aviation200 Braniff International DC-8-62 N1803 green (cn 45895/299)
N1803 was built in 1967 and was delivered to Braniff Sept. 22, 1967 and was leased to Pan Am for a period in 1970-71. It also had a stint with Hawaiian Airlines. It was converted to cargo by Cagosur Nov. 1983.

Here is a picture of the aircraft from Airlines.net in the model depicted livery. http://www.airliners.net/photo/Braniff-International-Airways/Douglas-DC-8-62/0825921/L/&sid=ff3d25f111c49e235bbf82f004e787c9

The model is a reasonable replica but the seam were the wings meet the fuselage is large. The forward antenna also seems a little big.

The nose seems correct and the windows for the cockpit are correct with wind shield wipers visible. The passenger doors and windows are correct and look sharp against the darker blue backdrop. The colors on the model match well with the images.

The landing gear are properly scaled. The nose gear covers have the fleet number on them. Landing lights and warning lights are part of the model and add further detail. I think the warning light on top of the model is a little large but it doesn't distract from the model.
