Gemini Jets 200 ALASKA B727-090C N797AS “Golden Nugget" colors (cn 19169/320)
This air-frame was built in 1966, first flying Sept. 25, 1966 and registering with Alaska Oct. 26, 1966. The aircraft started out with the Indian livery. Our version is the Golden Nugget version. For a rather shot periods AS used the Golden Nugget version on their aircraft. The flight attendants dressed up in the gold rush clothing.
The aircraft also flew on the Green Totem Pole livery. The aircraft and model are a duel passenger-cargo configuration that AS used on many of their aircraft. The colors on the model are correctly reproduced. The nose appears longer on photos of this aircraft compared to the GJ200 B721 mould. All else is good and a the livery is much appreciated. The model has clearly marked and printed passenger windows and doors. The large cargo bay door is also clearly printed. The model features rolling, scaled landing gear and an antenna on the top of the fuselage. Engines are correctly shaped. All and all this is a great addition to the 200 scale Alaska Airline models and a great replica of their history.
