Aeroclassics 400 TWA (Tran World Air lines) B727-31 N889TW (cn 19228/351) Solid Titles
Personally I never cared much for the final colors of TWA. This depiction has solid titles. I have no beef with the model itself, with an affection for B721s and TW, matter not as this is my favorite airline. The Aeroclassic B721 mould one can find few flaws in it. The model places the cockpit properly. The landing gear is scaled. The engine shape is correct. There are no seam issues. The emergency egress path is marked on both wings. The rear entry door is painted on the bottom of the model. This aircraft flew just as jetways were being created so it could plop down at an airport and not have to wait to wheel up stairs to load and unload passengers. But when hijackings are popular in the 60s and 70s more security was acquired by using jetways to the aircraft. Other details include the landing lights, warning lights and cargo bays painted on the model. The cargo bays show up nicely on the white undercarriage of this model. This was part of a short run of unique registration numbers that Aeroclassics did. For fleet collectors like myself I now have another TWA in my collection. Review by James F (Posted on 1/25/2011)
