Gemini Jets 200 United Airlines B727-200 N7644U (cn 20038/716)
This is another beautiful addition to the United Saul Bass colors which were so distinctive for this airline for so many years. The GJ200 mould for the B722 is quite good. The nose shape and cockpit shape and windows look good. The engines also appear to be correctly reproduced. The landing gear are scaled and detailed with hub caps and rolling tires. The cargo bay doors print well on the white portion of the fuselage. The Sal Bass colors and the UAL logo are correct and the markings positioned correctly. Warning lights on the fuselage and wing tips add more details to the model. It also has sever antennas. N7644U first flew for Boeing April 24, 1969. It was delivered to UAL May 14, 1969 and registered. It was withdrawn from use May, 1994. We now have a half dozen or so Saul Bass UAL in 200 scale. Nice! Review by James F (Posted on 11/17/2012)
