The model just jumps out at you with the red on the white background and the big Flying W that made Western Airlines so well known. The aircraft also flew for Air Pacific in their colors with the N821L registration. It had been leased from Western for 14 months. The DC-10 also worked for American (N144AA) and Air New Zealand ZK-NZN. Aeroclassics DC-10-30 mould has been matched up with a gorgeous set of colors in the Western Airlines red on white livery. Jet-X has also don N821L. Dragon Wings did N909WA in the red on white livery. The Aeroclassics model has the landing and warning lights on the fuselage, rolling gear, scaled to the size of the model. You can see door handle detail on the doors and the passenger winds and cockpit windows line up properly. (Posted on 11/14/2010)
