ntroduced in 1994, the A330 is a wide-body, twin-engine, medium to long-range airliner; it was developed by Airbus at the same time as its four-engine cousin, the A340. Designed to compete with the B767 in the extended-range, twin-engine operation performance standards market. The A330 features wing and fuselage designs virtually identical to those of the A340 and A330; also the fly-by-wire system and flight deck are inherited from the A320.
