About Japan Air Systems

Japan Air Systems

Originally formed as TDA in 1971 and became Japan Air System or JAS in 1988. JAS, Japan's smallest airline has always been famous for its variety of colorful rainbow aircraft liveries. In 1996 a 13-year-old Japanese boy won a livery design competition and his design was used by JAS on their 25th anniversary B777 commemorative plane. During their operation the JAS fleet consisted of A300's, B777's and MD-90's. In 2001 JAS agreed to merge with Japan Airlines and initiated the process of the JAS brand dismantlement.

Eztoys has a great selection of JAS models made by Jet-X and other manufacturers who do a great job recreating those famous liveries.
