With their white back drop for the Delta canvas the colors for this model just come right out you. On the tail the Delta livery is matched in colors and proportions. The fleet number of this aircraft is on top of the tail.
The fuselage has multiple antennas on top and bottom. The WIFI antenna adds further detail.
The nose shape, cockpit shape and cockpit windows are perfectly reproduced down to the wind shield wipers.
The cockpit windows and passenger windows are printed in black and stand out on the white back drop of the fuselage. Passenger doors are printed with a handle and many to small to read labeling. They look great.
The American flag is properly placed forward of the registration number and the rear door.
The engines look gigantic if you think back to 707 and 747 days. Those engines were tiny compared to the two big ones on the 777. The rotors spin.
On the wings the landing lights are depicted and the warning lights on the end of the wings are also shown.
Cargo bay doors are marked on the model. The undercarriage features the large type DELTA on the bottom of the fuselage. The scaled landing gear with rolling tires puts another plus on this model. The nose gear has the fleet number on the cover and the improvement in front gear is evident when looking at the gear structure. Model makers are doing wonders in refining details.
This model comes with a wooden stand. It would be nice if GJ and others would place a plaque on the stand identifying the airline, registration number and type of aircraft. It should be like a min-biography.
GJ continues to pump out Delta in its knew colors. It is a question as to whether they are making more Deltas and Americans but we collectors win either way. (Posted on 7/29/2015)
