I remember seeing this airline and type at West Palm Beach International Airport in the 60s and early 70s. These commuter aircraft were the back bone of the feeders bring people into airports hubs. Our model is spot on with its colors. The white background is especially excellent for depicting the two tones of blue of Eastern in that era. In my opinion the nose is a little stunted compared to the images on A-net which depict a longer nose than the model. In this scale it hardly matters particularly if you are using it as part of an airport diorama. Spinning props, scaled landing gear, The aircraft was delivered to Eastern June, 1957 and flew for them through Dec., 1970. History after that date is unknown. The aircraft was broken up in 1981 (Posted on 11/12/2011)
