This aircraft was delivered to Eastern Airlines Dec., 1957 and flew for them thru several color changes through Jan., 1965. It was eventually transferred to TSA Transair Sweden and was broken up in 1969.
When this model came out the first time I missed it so was excited to get this one to go with N823D. Both models appear identical except for the registration number
The AC DC-7 mould is spot on. The nose shape, cockpit windows and cockpit are reproduced correctly. The passenger windows in black look great on the white back drop Eastern used in their Fly Eastern livery.
The model has warning lights on the end of the wings and on the top of the tail.
The engines are correctly shaped and feature spinning props. The wings are seamlessly connected to the fuselage but the tail does have a small gap were it meets the fuselage.
Being a fleet collector I am really glad to add this to my Eastern fleet! (Posted on 12/26/2015)
