Jet-X 200 Federal Express 727-200F - N215FE with FedEx Title on Tail (cn 22936/1830)
This was one of the last 727s made (not the last). In the original colors of Federal Express this model feathers the FEDEX on the tail. JX has really got a nice mould in the 722. Painting it in these colors is is a real boom for collectors and aviation historians. The aircraft was built in 1984 and first flew June 12, 1984. It was delivered to Federal Express June 29, 1984 and converted to 727-2S2REF. The model has many details I like. The antenna on the top of the fuselage and two on the bottom. It also has the tail guard on the undercarriage. The large cargo bay door is placed correctly. Cockpit, nose and cockpit windows are printed correctly. The nose shape is spot on and I think the mould is one of the better 722s available. The model has scaled rolling landing gear tires. Such details as the hub cap covers on the landing gear and the placement of the fleet number on the nose gear cover adds further to this model. Engines are shaped correctly. Here is a picture from A-net in the model colors: http://www.airliners.net/photo/Federal-Express/Boeing-727-2S2F-Adv/0238758/L/&sid=699327b3d78be6b7d512d7537fdaae26 Review by James F (Posted on 9/19/2012)
