Herpa 200 TWA Douglas DC-3-209B "The Lindberg Line" NC14931 (cn 2118)
Admittedly, I am bias to review this model. TWA is my favorite airline and the DC-3 is one of my favorite air frames. This model comes out of the box so shinny you can almost see your reflection in the fuselage and wings. I think the antenna is just a tad large. There are great details on the engines. The landing lights are attached to the bottom of the engines. In the DC-2 the landing lights were on the nose as were the antenna. There is only one photo of this plane on A-net. Comparing it with the model, Herpa did great on placement of the numbers on the tail, the red stripes, the "Lindberg Line" and the windows on the model. The image on A-net is from 1939 and there is evidence this plane was still flying in the 1980s. Review by James F (Posted on 3/7/2011)
