Gemini 400 Southwest Airlines B737-5H4 N514SW (CURRENT LIVERY) (cn 25153/2078)
This is one of many B737-500s owned by Southwest. There airline model has been to keep the types of aircraft within the same family (Boeing 737s) and this has allowed them to only need one set of mechanics and a lot of interchangeable parts..things that make airlines run more economically. This aircraft was built in 1991, first flew June 1, 1991 and was delivered to Southwest July 2, 1991 and registered Sept. 27, 1991. The model is an example were GJ has paid attention to detail. Scaled landing gear, sharply printed passenger windows and doors, perfectly shaped nose and cockpit area and other details that make it a fitting replica for the great fleet we have of Southwest. The aircraft also flew in mustard colors in the original colors of Southwest. Review by Colorado (Posted on 8/6/2011)
