This is another beautiful Aeroclassic DC-10-30. AC has the best DC-10-30 mould. Aeroclassic has selected a registration number with a very interesting history. The aircraft has carried the black meatball livery, the red meatball liver, was a lessee to Hawaiian Airlines in Nov., 1`999 and carried their 70-Year Anniversary livery and was later returned back to Continental eventually carrying the golden globe on blue livery before being stored in 2002. The aircraft was built in 1980 and first flew July 8, 1980. It was delivered to Continental Sept. 25, 1980 and registered Oct. 30, 1980. The replica is very well printed. The passenger doors and windows are clearly and crisply printed. The cargo bay doors feature many micro printed details not able to be seen by the naked eye. The landing gear are scaled correctly and the nose gear cover has the flight number on it 061. Fabulous detail is noted on the engines of the model. Engine shape is perfect as is the shape of the cockpit and nose of the model. (Posted on 11/19/2011)
