Aeroclassics 400 CP Air DC-8-53 CF-CPM "Empress of Lisbon" (cn 45809/264)
CP Air (orange) is one of the most well documented airline liveries in the hobby. The orange color just has a mental attraction. Graced with a darker red color and a polished belly this is a spectacular model on the very find DC-8-50 Aeroclassics mould. On Airliners.net there are several good pix to compare with the model. The model is spot on for the nose, placement of the cockpit, windows and passenger doors. Cargo bays are visible on the shinny belly of the model. The engines are well shaped and the landing gear to scale. The fin number 264 is printed on the nose wheel covers. Empress of Lisbon is displayed on the fuselage. This aircraft was later converted to cargo. The planed started out with CP Air in the late 70s and was still flying in the mid-90s. This is my favorite picture of this plane. http://www.airliners.net/photo/CP-Air/Douglas-DC-8-53/0248533/L/&sid=82e0221755603865b90d5bf7989a8bc7 It is so filled with action and shows great details that can be found on the model as well.
