Stanley Orr was leading Hellcats from the HMS Emperor on an anti-shipping strike when they spotted a formation of five He 115 floatplanes low over the Sea off Rorvik, Norway. Orr and future ace Lt. Ritchie combined to shoot one down, after which the surviving floatplanes quickly landed on the sea. Orr then led the Hellcats down and shared in the destruction of two more of the Heinkels, which were the last of his victories and the last Royal Navy Hellcat victories against the Luftwaffe.
