- United Airlines, one of the worlds biggest, has contracted with Boeing for the B787-8. In real life there have been many difficulties with this aircraft and several years of delay in getting it into the air but the tests are in now and the B787 should become operational in the next couple of years for many major airlines around the world. When look at the size of the engines on the model and compare them to an old B707 or original B747s they are huge! (Posted on 8/9/2010)
